wemera is a camera app. All photos you capture are processed and stored only on your device. We do not upload, collect, or have any access to your photos. wemera has no server of its own and no user accounts.
What the app does not collect
No name, email, phone number, contacts, location, or photos. There is no sign-up or login.
The one thing wemera does send off the device is crash and error diagnostics, described in the next section. It contains no personal information and no part of your photos.
Crash and error diagnostics
When the app crashes or a feature fails, we collect diagnostic information so we can find the cause and fix it. This includes the error and where it happened (stack trace), your device model, OS version, app version, and a record of the app starting and stopping.
It does not include your photos, anything you shot, text you typed, your name, email, phone number, location, or IP address. It is not used to identify you, and it is never used for advertising or marketing.

Usage analytics
To improve the app, anonymous statistics about what you do in it are sent to PostHog (PostHog, Inc., USA):
Action names: app open/close (session length), which screen is shown and for how long, onboarding completed, a shot taken (which template, mode, filter, silent mode, number of decorations), photo/video saved, share, re-edit, gallery size, and failures (kind and a short error message)
App version, operating system, and a random identifier created when the app is installed (not linked to you; reinstalling creates a new one)
No photos, text you typed, name, email, advertising identifier, or location is sent, and IP addresses are discarded on receipt. These statistics are used only to see which features are used and where people stop; they are not used to identify or track individuals.

wemera uses these third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Permissions
Camera — to take photos and video.
Microphone — to record sound with your videos. It is not used for photos.
Media / Photos — to save your shots to your gallery, and to load a photo you pick into a frame.
